As an Industrial Designer I have been working with design firms and advertising agencies as a senior Designer and Design Manager. Guiding and defining the workflow of the different design teams.
Having the opportunity to get my Masters Degree in Design Management and work with different companies, has allow me to understand Design as a competitive advantage for any kind of business.
I offer the service of consulting based on a clear design thinking approach. Defining the core values of your company and translate such relevant facts into a design strategy.
Some relevant samples of my work in the different fields of design.
As a mid-designer I have been working for almost 5 years in different kinds of projects. I started my professional performance as a six-month intern in a well-known company, which develops furniture design and interior spaces in Colombia. I was in charge of designing and creating new proposals for clients, trying to fulfill their expectations and requirements according to their ideas. I had to take care of the follow-up of projects, designing and modeling proposals, doing renderings, blue prints and layouts, getting in contact with different providers and being aware of the production and manufacturing. My second relevant work experience was in a small design agency where I was the only designer in the office. I was in charge of coming up with plenty of proposals per day for the different kinds of projects, depending on the client’s brief. Most of the projects that I worked on were focused in exhibition systems, P.O.P/displays, corporate stands and brand promotional elements. A great experience in which I learned how to manage my time, meet deadlines, come up with fast proposals and concepts, work under pressure and be well organized to ensure the success of the projects. During my Masters course I developed academic projects with real companies, through a Design Manager point of view. This was a most challenging opportunity. It required thinking strategically and making decisions with the team members to come up with the best results for a project. This was an occasion to refine my project management abilities, performed as a team leader, as well as a player, and improve my communication skills through a business scope.
